class=\"has-text-color has-small-font-size\" style=\"color: #040404;\"><strong>Typology of simple sentence in the languages of the Ob-Yenisei area: Information and argument structure<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">The present project aims to provide a typological picture of information structure in the languages belonging to the Ob-Yenisei linguistic area. The main focus of the study is the basic word order in a simple sentence and what triggers its violation in structurally different, genetically unrelated and distantly related languages of the area (Yeniseian, Finno-Ugric, Turkic). Within the project, it will be possible to trace the mutual influence and similar features in these languages, which appeared as a result of the prolonged areal contact between them, on the one hand, and the rapidly increasing influence of the Russian language, on the other hand. Materials at the project team\u2019s disposal allow to carry out research within distinct synchronic periods of the 20th century (1956-1985) and the 21st century (2000-2017), as well as to compare these data and analyze the changes in the communicative structure of sentence from the diachronic point of view. Verification of the collected data will be carried out with the help of experimental research methods: using text corpora of the project\u2019s languages and linguistic programs such as Praat for speech analysis. Data on the communicative syntax of the project\u2019s languages are important in many respects.
